Gingerbread House Construction Zone

We decided to start a new tradition last year of making gingerbread houses. The construction begins after the Thanksgiving feast. As you can see, Katie was quite involved in this years house. She and Todd had a great time throwing candy at the roof and watching it stick. AHHH, the days of perfect Necco roofs are over. She also thought it was extremely important to lick each piece of candy as it was added to the house.

The final product.

And....a family picture to top it off. I realized today as I was looking for a picture to send in our Christmas card that this is the one and only of all three of us for the entire year. I can't believe how pathetic that is. I guess it's off to the park on Saturday to add a few more to choose from!

Christmas dress

Katie was very excited to wear her Christmas dress to church. She also had to have a "princess crown hairdo" in order for the outfit to be complete. It was quite an undertaking to keep her still and braid her hair. I've decided still for a toddler means I'm not walking crawling, but I can still move my head in whatever direction I want too!!!

The Present

I'm still trying to get this whole blog thing down. So we're a little behind. I realized I don't take near as many pictures as I did when Katie was a baby. Hopefully, this blog can break that habit.
So we had a little false alarm a few weeks ago. I thought I might be going into labor early and needless to say things were a little intense. Katie became extremely concerned that she didn't have a present for her new baby (she thought the baby was being born at home). So, she was frantically looking for something to give him. She settled on her sponge curlers and wrapped them in tissue paper! It was the sweetest thing ever!! When the baby didn't come, of course, she was absolutely devestated. So here are a few pictures of

"the present".
