Ballet

My beautiful little ballerina!
I have never seen a little girl more excited in my life. She seriously starts counting down the days to dance the second she leaves her lesson. I love that she has no idea how to pronouce all the French ballet terms. I wish I could remember some of "her terms" to describe certain ballet moves. This brain just ain't what it used to be! If I don't write it down immediately it's gone.

First day of Preschool

Katie had her first day of preschool a few weeks ago. She was so excited to go back to preschool. It has been really hard for her to watch friends from her Primary class at church go to Kindergarten. She knows she is the same "age" as them and just didn't understand why it wasn't her turn. So it's been very nice for her to have something to look forward to each week. She still asks every few days if she can go to Kindergarten now that she's five. And she is still just as devestated when the answer remains the same. Poor girl! At least she's thrilled with preschool when she's there!

A day at Snowbird

We had one final summer fling at Snowbird. We seriously wore the kids out.
Katie and Joey loved the alpine slide. Katie and I smoked daddy and Joey in the race. We were flying!!! On a few of the turns I was just certain we were going to fly off the slide.

We also took the chairlift ride to the top of the ski hill. On the way, we saw this huge bull moose sitting in the water. The kids were so excited. It was so pleasant to ride the lift in a T-shirt and flip flops. It was a serious contrast to our winter getup.

Katie was quite the little spider. We were pretty impressed. She made it pretty high and didn't freak out at all!

Todd and I rode this mechanical bull. Katie was dying to ride it, but she didn't meet the age requirement. Fortunately, there are no pictures of me on this wild beast! I'm sure I was a sight. Everytime I dared glance up at Todd he was bent over laughing hysterically. He kept asking me to ride it again just so he could laugh again.
If you can't tell, Todd is really into the bull riding thing!

And here's Joey! He's had enough of the bounce house and enough of this day!

What Matters Most

What a wonderful reminder in such a rat race world.
My family and my friends matter to me.
My family is my world.
I love them.

Trouble Maker

This guy has grown into quite the trouble maker and comedian. It seems we can't get through the day without a little mischief from him. Of course, he is insisting on feeding himself as most toddlers do. This results in the following. I wish I could hose off my kitchen table and floor when he's finished. He really is that messy. So, if you visit my house and notice any type of dried food (or wet food for that matter) in odd places it can definitely be attributed to him!!! I just can't keep up.
Good thing he's so stinkin' cute!!!

And this beautiful do, is post swimming pool. The other day, Todd asked me if I actually curled his hair everyday. Seriously?! I wouldn't have the guts to curl a girl's hair at this age!
I can't wait to pull these to out someday! Won't his date be so impressed! Lately, Katie has been dressing him up. He thinks it's absoultely hilarious. Fortunately, he's carrying cars in his fancy purse.
I have no words for this one!
I just want to pinch those little "cheeks!"
