A while ago I instituted a chore chart for Katie. I thought it might make her usual chores more exciting and she would have a little more control over her daily activities. Also, I was tired of reminding her of everything I wanted done each day. And, truth be told it helps me get my own chores done every day because she has to help with some of them. Anyway, it ranges from making her bed and picking up her room to helping mommy with the laundry and dusting. On her Friday chart she is responsible for organizing her room. This is taking picking it up to the next level. She is supposed to make sure her drawers and toy baskets are organized, etc. She seemed to be spending a lot of time this particular Friday morning, but I wasn't going to say anything. I was just happy she was doing her "chores." Later that day I went into her closet to put away a hair clip and this is what I found. I couldn't help but smile. Perhaps my insane nesting habits are rubbing off on her. I loved it!!!!

A Two Wheeler!!!!!
It only took an hour or so before she had the hang of it. She is absolutely thrilled with herself. The battle scars are as endless as the smiles! I think she spent a total of 5 hours riding on Saturday. It was the first thing she asked to do when she got up this morning. She has to tell everyone we meet/see of her new accomplishment! And, of course, it is no longer her bike it is her "two wheeler." We are so proud of her!

Easter Part 2
We had a fine time at my parents for Easter. The only thing missing was the husband/daddy. He was on call for the second Easter in a row. BIG BUMMER. Fortunately, there was a handicap in the adult egg hunt, which involves money, so I didn't leave empty handed! Thanks dad.
The kids made out with a haul of candy that I'm sure would impress any dentist.

Peace

Tonight as I listened to sweet Joey sing "itsy bitsy cyber" and Katie snore in the backseat I had such a moment of gratitude for them and for Him. I am filled with peace and happiness. God is good. Life is good. I am spiritually lifted. As we drove home from the Easter festivities and a weekend of uplifting conference talks I felt peace. Peace that despite all my imperfections as a mother, wife and daughter He loves me. It is all a part of this wonderful journey I get to have. I have the opportunity to make mistakes, learn from them and grow into more of what my Father in Heaven wants me to. All because of His atoning sacrifice. I am grateful that He sacrificed so much for me and for my family. I am grateful he has entrusted these little people to my care. They remind me daily of my responsibility to them, myself and ultimately to Him.

Michael Buble
Due to some unfortunate circumstances surrounding my parents we inherited their tickets to the Michael Buble concert. Did I mention floor tickets....well they were. And as you can see from the picture we were mighty close.
The concert was great. Todd and I enjoyed actually having a night out together doing a not so parenty (is that a word?) thing. We were; however, surrounded by a million swooning women and a few men. There was actually this couple in their 50-60's behind us that may have been his biggest fans. There were a few songs where they were just belting out the words off key and all. Todd and I couldn't help but laugh. We certainly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks again mom and dad!
