Aunt Beth invited us to go to the Lavender Farm in Mona, UT for some Easter festivities. It was a warm sunny day until we got out of the car. The farm was located near a small lake and the wind was definitely blowing. There was a whole list of activities to do and we started off with a bang. As the time wore on there it seemed to get colder. We made it to face painting, rock climbing, picture with the bunny and the ponies. The pony rides were our downfall. First, for some reason they positioned the line in the shade which equals cold. Second, there were only six ponies and a large line. Third, as we approached our turn it was time for the ponies to take a 10 minute break which somehow turned into a 35 minute break. It seemed the BYU students who were supposed to be helping with the pony event had disappeared during the pony break. Finally, Todd had had it and asked the pony lady if the parents could stand in for the students with their children. She agreed, thank heavens!!! We were moving and she gave the girls a longer ride than normal because of the long wait. Needless to say we did not make it on the wagon ride to the egg hunt because we were all popsicles. The girls didn't even whimper over the loss of an egg hunt!
