One of... My Best Friend's Wedding

This is one of my oldest and dearest friends, Heidi. We've been friends since I was three, maybe even before. We were best friends, we were worst enemies, as most best friends are. When she got a perm so did I. We both made dollhouses together and spent hours designing each room. We carried our Nancy Drew books home in grocery sacks from the library and sat under the tree to read them. We played with dolls well into junior high. Although we have not hung out as much over the past few years we still get together and pick up right where we left off. She is a true friend. I love her.
She tied the knot yesterday. I was lucky enough to be in attendance at her wedding. It was beautiful. It reminded me of my own wedding. I love weddings. I always seem to leave with a renewed love and a spring in my step when I think of my own hubby. I'm so thrilled for her and the new life she will begin with her sweet husband. I wish them the best.

A picture of our crew (minus Rikki, who couldn't be there the whole time). Sometimes I think it's hard to believe we are all still such good friends after so many years. How lucky am I!!!! (Ash, me & Heidi)

Melissa--- left a comment on my own... then figured I'd just do it here. Pillow-- -west elm. It's on sale right now. I fell in love-- it was exactly what my bed needed. It's cute right?

And I keep meaning to email you.. I'll just do this here... canon. I'm just a big fat follower. I felt like every photographer I really love love loved was getting this 5d mark 2. I knew the Nikon was great too, but I felt like there weren't quite as many lens options or they were a little bit more. I had so little invested at that point, I just looked at it like a fresh start and decided I felt safer joining the canon family. Like they would always have what I needed, and I would have more of a chance to see the examples of others using something to help me make my decisions. You know? My camera still freaks me out though. I don't know a fraction of what it can do. I'm in a slump today.. like who do I think I am? I don't know what I'm doing! And it's way too late right now... I think my husband's going to destroy the computer while I sleep....

:) These photos of the baby look awesome! You have that distorted but vibrant background like Beth Jansen in a few. I always wonder if she does something special in her processing that causes that... great job!
