We took baby John in for his two week checkup and boy were we surprised! He's quite the little porker! He gained just under two pounds in the two weeks since his birth! Maybe we CAN have a chunky baby after all!

Still just as adorable and squishable as ever! Todd and I keep waiting for some sort of acting out from the other two. They just love him to pieces. If anything, we have to breakup battles over who gets to do what for him or who gets to help mommy with him. The other day in the car I heard Joey say, "I love my bruder I touch his head soft." It just made my heart melt!
I love that they love him. And, I love being their mother.
Just a few newborn tidbits that I love about him.
His smell; it's intoxicating.
The way he arches his little back and tucks his legs up when you lift him up.
How he tries to eat any part of me when he's hungry.
The way his head bobs on my shoulder as he tries to turn it when he's getting burped.
His adorable cross-eyed turtle expressions.
The way he slowly and mechanically moves his arms.
The way he makes a sweet little "O" with his mouth.
His obsession with lights.
The way he looks at his brother and sister when they're in his face!

Oh, you wonder if it's possible to love something more because your heart is just bursting with love, pride and utter joy. I could have a half a dozen more......

I love this post Melissa! It makes me sooo excited to have my little guy finally (in about 7 weeks!) I've waited a long long time too! Your kids are so cute!
