The Trimmings

We've had to get a little creative with the holiday decor this year. Thank heavens for salt dough, paper chains and pipe cleaner candy canes! It's actually been really fun and I think it's my favorite tree ever. It's so perfectly and uniquely ours. The kids love seeing the ornaments they made and they are absolutely priceless to me.

And of course we needed three nativities so everyone could color and play with their own. I think we've been saving toilet paper rolls for months!

All in all it's been as festive as can be. Our elf is lost somewhere between America and here thanks to the wonderful people at Barnes and Noble. The children have been extremely disappointed as each day has passed and he is still not here. I've assured them that Santa understands and will still be keeping a close eye until he gets here--if he gets here. Note to self: Don't tell children until item is in hand! One month with expedited shipping is still not enough time for something to arrive from the US.

The memories you are creating for your kids are absolutely priceless! You are an amazing mother, with so much energy and love! What an amazing experience for your family to have together. You will always treasure these pictures and memories! I always tell people that living in Ogden for six years was the BEST experience for my little family. We really learned to rely on one another, and it made me appreciate my family so much more! I love and adore your cute family! You will be back enjoying Target and Kraft Mac n Cheese before you know it. Love you!

Hey Melissa, I love keeping up with your blog. Makes me want to travel to New Zeland while always living in America:) Question - Roman and John are the same age and I noticed John still has his binky - have you started to cut back? I've tried but it's hard!
